Not much scrapping to update with...

...the last thing I did was a double LOL at Deb's 10-10 crop last month. I'm yet to take pics of that yet, hence why it's not here! Anyway, I have been flat out busy with kid stuff, and for the last 3 weeks or more we have been passing gastro back and forth around my house. It's a nightmare!! Cody's 3rd birthday is in 7 days, then Christmas, then we go away for 2 weeks on Boxing Day so I'm VERY stressed that all these events are going to be buggered up by illness!! So unfortunately I'm missing out on stuff while we are housebound. What a crap time of year for germs, there's so much to do! Anyway, hope all my scrap friends are well and hope to catch up with you all soon!

Crop night - Nov 16

Full house last night. It's all happening at Deb's house, she's even getting the builder around to make us more comfortable lol. I won another prize *yay* because I was the first person to register at http://www.deblingindesign.com.au/ I got some nice chipboard goodies and some rubber alphabet stamps, thanks Deb. And thanks to Kirsty for my cutting mat. Oh yeah, that half a pizza left behind was mine, I was looking forward to that for lunch today, but it wasn't so :( Anyway here's last night's LO that I finished off today.

Supplies used: Patterned paper - Basic Grey, Cardstock - Bazzill, Letter J - Bazzill Basics; really big letters, Tiny letters - Carolee's Creations, Gemstones - Hero Art, White Glaze pen, Chipboard stars - JCS, Ink - Versa Color; baby blue, Glitter - Making Memories; spotlight, Blue rik rak, Train eyelets, Sweet baby buttons, Yellow embroidery thread.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a sad note today is the 6th anniversary of the passing of my sweet Boxer girl Mollie. She was only 8.5 when she died and she was my best friend for all those years. I still miss her a lot. Nov/Dec is a crappy time when it comes to losing puppies. Mollie's is the 1st anniversary of 3 in a matter of weeks. I think I'll get another Boxer next year, I just can't live without one in my home. It's weird not having a Boxer for the 1st time in about 20 years... I'll leave you with my favorite pic of me & Mollie.

Crop night

I've been a bit productive of late (well with my scrapping anyway) Last night at crop night I finished a double LO, well amost. I did the finishing touches this morning, at 10:30am when I got up after my sleep in hah! Bryce was a good daddy and organised the kids for the morning. When I woke they were out the back making mudcakes. Oh and did I mention last night was about my 5th week in a row. I'm only supposed to scrap fortnightly, but Bryce no longer goes out on the alternative week, so hello! Why would I stay at home?? Fridays have definitely become my FAVE days of the week.

Rashes

I was talking about kids rashes with Kirsty Friday night (since Levi had just had one). Here's the pics of Cody when he went to hospital in June. These were taken after the worst of it when it was starting to go down. They couldn't tell me if his rash was viral or allergic. He was really sick with a virus for a few weeks before the rash came out. He passed out on me in the car and I couldn't wake him, so I pulled over and called an ambulance. Scary time that was! Mind you this all happened the day I got out of hospital after spending 3 days there with Jai who had pneumonia.

Too cute for words

This is the first of my LO using the 'Embers' Candlelit kit from Fireside. I finished it off last night at crop night, then I went through my entire album and made sure every page was at least dated. I MUST date and journal from now own. I've realised it IS important and saves people asking questions about the photo. Glad it's all done now, I have been putting it off for ages!

Uni-ball white pen, Dimensional Magic.

Time to update...

...but not much to update with lol. Last night we had a Stampin Up workshop at crop night. They have some great stuff and some good ideas, one of which I'm going to copy for Chrissy gifts. A really cool little bag stamped, decorated and made from an envelope, great for putting little homemade gifts in. Kathy is kindly going to send me her shortbread recipe, so we'll see how I go. I didn't get any scrapping done after that, I was a bit tired and there was just nothing creative happening lol. Oh, I also grabbed a Candlelit kit from Pauline of Fireside Crafts. I'm planning on getting that out tonight.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jai had a bad fall yesterday, he was pushing around his little mower, lost his footing on the edge of the carport and went down head/face first on the stone driveway! Poor little bugger, he has scabs everywhere and a shocker of a fat lip. Its just a big lump of blood/bruising on the inside. I kept a cold flannel on his forehead so he doesn't have much of an egg today.

And as if that wasn't enough, this morning I'm sitting on the couch watching telle while Cody was out the back playing. Suddenly I hear him screaming for me that he's stuck. I raced out there and he had his head wedged between the house and the brickwork, kinda hard to explain, but theres a gap there and he was trying to follow Paulie that had gone through the gap and under the house. I'm freaking out cause I couldn't get him out, he's screaming, I'm home alone... I pushed his head down towards the ground where it must have been wider and thank god I got him out! He just has a few marks on his ear cause there was a nail right beside his head! God, talk about up for mother of the year award this weekend, NOT!!!! lol Oh and there will be no more playing outside without supervision!

Black & White

Yet again another beach pic (are you sick of them yet lol) I love this photo, even though you can't see Jai's face. I thought I'd try out a black & white page. I'm fairly happy with the result. I wanted to journal, just the location and the date but it just didn't look right anywhere on the page, so I left it off.

Supplies used: Patterned paper - Luxe. Cardstock - bazzill. Lettering - American crafts. Ink - Versa Color; black, white. White ribbon. Glass finish. Pen - Uniball Signo; white.3D foam dots.

Something different

Last night I felt like a change, so I scrapped this photo of my Mum (Jenni) and her Mum (Jean). The pic would have been taken in 1955 or 1956, I'm not sure if Mum had turned one yet. Don't you just love the 1950's housewife fashion lol. Look at that impeccably ironed dress!

Supplies used: Patterned paper - Fancy Pants, Cardstock - Bazzill, Die cut Flower - Daisy D's, Chipboard - JCS, Ink - Versa Color; pinecone, Paint - Making Memories; deep sea & spotlight, Lace - thanks Deb, 3D foam dots. Glass Finish.

I also received my lucky 'blog poster' prize from Deb - some gorgeous Basic Grey chipboard shapes and stuff. They'll be used for sure, thanks Deb!

Rachel had a really cool little Dymo Letratag at crop night last night, so I had to go and grab my self one today. It's fun! I even labelled my label maker hah, what problem??

Dreamer

Last nights LO. I'm really into using black & white photo's at the moment. This is another one of the Kilcunda beach pics. I finished this page and half finished another. That's good for me, I usually only get one completed. It's pretty simple, but I like it.

Supplies used: Patterned paper - Paper Trunk. Chipboard - JCS. Kindy Glitz - Black. Ink - Versa Color; pinecone. Photo Turns - 7 Gypsies. Silver brads.3D foam squares.

Uh oh

Cody has got a bit of eczema going on, so I have to moisturise him. I made the mistake of leaving the cream in his room last night, and this morning when the boys were in his room playing quietly (or so I thought) Cody decided to rub cream all over his brothers head as well as his own hands and feet. I went to check on them and poor Jai looked like Yahoo Serious!

I don't know what was going on in this photo (Bryce took it) but it cracks me up eveytime I look at it!!!

And here's Cody just for good measure...

Cheap as chips

I picked up this Bella kit for $3 at the reject shop. It's not too bad for not a lot spent lol! Oh, I did have to add a bit of Heidi Grace paper and a few stick on letters. I plan to journal on the right of the bottom photo.

Crop night & LO comp.

Last night's crop night was not very productive for me, I spent most of the night painting chipboard! But anyway, that saw me finish 2 LO (minus the journalling) will finish that off tonight. Had a fun night with Deb and Shadow keeping us entertained by showing off all his little doggie outfits to us, he's such a poser! Too funny! (I miss my gorgeous Hannah :( so much lately!) So anyway, I'm going to be brave and submit a LO for the Scrappers Warehouse Sketch Comp. Here's the sketch, and my version of it. What do you think? Do I have half a chance lol!

Supplies used: Photo subject - Master Jai; 17 months. Patterned paper - Basic Grey. Cardstock - Bazzill. Ink - Versa Colour; pinecone, sky blue. Chipboard - Bella. Ribbon - American Crafts; Seasons winter. Photo turns - 7 Gypsies. Paint - Making Memories; chocolate, shopping bag, evergreen, celery.
